GENERAL DIRECTOR Plant RUSSIA (English)
A General Manager specialized in Operations Management to be involved in the start up of a new production plant in St. Petersburg (Russia) for an important company in the medical-dental sector, with high-quality production and high quality standards. Good knowledge of the Russian language is required.
COMPANY
Our client is a company based near Vicenza (northen est of Italy) that produces and sells products for the medical-dental sector all over the world. Production in Italy is on a continuous cycle basis, while the new site in Russia is meant to be initially structured in two lines and two shifts with a goal of progressive growth of volumes in the first three years to achieve the promising potential of the domestic market.
The management complexity is represented by the high number of codes and sub-codes, as well as by the quality and service standards required by customers.
ROLE
The person we are looking for will respond to the headquarter Board and will be responsible for Russian site including the commercial control, costs and profits and a particular focus on production and logistics processes.
It is an obviously transversal and decisive role: he/she will fully manage the start-up of a new production site in a radically different territory and will have to give the right setting to each process in order to make the site compliant with the high corporate standards.
Once the production start-up phase has been completed, it will be his/her responsibility to follow the production and economic development of the plant through a continuous improvement approach (LEAN). He/she will also have to make his/her team grow, find solutions to possible problems and impact on the comapany economic-financial indicators. As the most representative person of the company he/she will also have relations with all the stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Our goal is to find a General Manager whose specialty is Operation Management with transversal skills that make him easy to adapt to different culture and weather.
We would like to get in touch with professionals who know well russian culture and language in order to act with solidity and autonomy. Fluent English is also important in order to communicate with the international partners.
The experience of start-up and/or management of Italian companies abroad is essential. As for his/her education we imagine a Management Engineer. A manager with an equivalent culture in the organizational field and experience in similar sectors in terms of quality standards and/or complexity (e.g automotive, appliance, pharmaceutical, beverage etc.) is also welcome. Availability to live in Russia for at least three years is required.
